We are looking for individuals who will embody our values and are passionate about meeting the needs of our customers and help them lead a good life. We are seeking applications from Support Workers to work in Disability. 

The Opportunity

As we look to the future, we're more focused than ever on attracting the best talent for our organisation. We are currently seeking passionate and energetic Disability Support Workers to provide individual support for a variety of people in Innisfail. As a Support Worker, you will assist out customers to develop key lifestyle skills such as cooking, craft, social interaction and help them to engage with their local community. You will be responsible for assisting them work towards their goals and assist with activities and routines.

What You Need to be Successful in this role?

  • Strong communication skills
  • Current drivers licence (Mandatory requirement)
  • Current Yellow Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain) & other probity checks
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (Or be willing to obtain)
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community services or welfare will be advantageous
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a range behavioural concerns
