We are looking for individuals who will embody our values and are passionate about meeting the needs of our customers and help them lead a good life. We are seeking applications from Support Workers to work in Disability.

About The Role

We require eight permanent part time passionate and energetic Support Workers to provide support to a variety of customers in our residential home based in Griffin. As a Support Worker, you will assist these customers to develop key lifestyle skills, help them to engage with their local community and supporting them towards their goals by:

  • Independent skill building in various settings
  • Residential in-home, respite services and drop-in home supports
  • Community participation
  • Supporting access to medical assessments and appointments
  • A variety of shifts throughout the week; 2 to 8 hours, respite shifts and sleepovers

About You

  • Strong communication skills
  • Current drivers licence (Mandatory requirement)
  • Current Yellow Card (or be willing to obtain)
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain) & other probity checks
  • Current Provide First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (Or be willing to obtain)
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community services or welfare will be advantageous
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a range behavioural concerns
