In Rockhampton we are fortunate to assist two female customers within our supported independent living home based in Norman Gardens.

As a Support Worker within this service, you will be required to:

  • Help customers engage with their local communities, culture and recreational activities
  • Assist with and coach independent life skills such as cooking & cleaning
  • Administer medication and adhere to support plans
  • Complete clear, concise and factual handover notes and incident reports
  • Manage challenging behaviours

Make It Matter - What you will bring to make a difference in other's lives

  • Strong communication skills
  • Current drivers licence (Mandatory requirement)
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain, NB, this is replacing the Yellow Card)
  • Current Blue Card (or be willing to obtain) 
  • Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003
  • Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services or Welfare will be advantageous
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience supporting people with a range of behavioural concerns and needs
